August to June

At the beginning of Mrs. Furr’s class,

I thought to myself, man I want to surpass.

I didn't know how hard this year was going to be,

But now I’m pretty sure it’s clear to me.

That everything turned out to be just fine,

just as long as I made sure to make some time.

Now I really wasn't starting to care,

until we started reading Touching Spirit Bear.

Things were starting to take a toll,

We read half the book about that kid named Cole.

My learning was almost at its peak,

And that’s when I entered the third six weeks.

We were getting pretty far in the book of Cole,

We even made a really cool totem pole.

We had to draw some animals and say what they were,

Whether they hissed or squawked or screeched or purred.

My drawing isn't good, my drawing isn't great,

but hey…haters going to hate. 

Then we started reading Hollis Woods,

it’s about this girl who is not understood.

More than halfway through the year, doing just fine,

but pretty soon we’ll all be out of time.

This rap is pretty long, I don’t mean to be a clogger,

But then we did a photo challenge on the thing called blogger!

On the fifth six weeks, almost the end of the year,

your almost done so don’t shed a tear.

Now we’re learning about archetypes you know it’s true,

 We also did Gods and Goddesses too.

Now we’re getting to the last six weeks,

So you better grab your learning cap if knowledge you seek.

We’re at the very last six weeks you see,

We even got to watch an Enchanted movie.

We also had to study some things,

Like some poems that really wanted to make you sing.

But it’s true, this year hasn't been a bummer

So...have a good summer!

When I grow up

When I grow up,
I'll be at the front
of the flock with my wings,
When I'm grown up.

When I grow up,
I'll meet that someone that completes my lovebird's song
when I'm grown up.

When I grow up,
I'll protect my eggs
from those pesky blue jays,
When I'm grown up.

When I grow up,
I'll have my own nest,
with lots of twigs
and sticks to make it big
when I'm grown up.

My Music

Well, to be honest, my music I like to listen to is me on my trumpet! I love playing trumpet, and I have been playing trumpet since 6th grade, and love doing it. Plus, I know how to play songs like "Party Rock Anthem" , "I Gotta Feeling" and more. If I'm not listening to music on my trumpet, it's usually on my phone. However, on my phone, I don't have too many songs, but 1 I have is "Stronger" and more. See you next post! :D

My Closet

This is my closet. It is very messy, but it's fine. I keep all board games in here too. Plus I also keep my little brother's toy trains in here as well. I use my closet often, since, after all, it does have all my clothes in it. My closet so I have to walk sort of far to get to it in the morning. My closet isn't too big, just a single door (in fact, mine is the smallest in the entire house). See you next post! 

POHW: Character Development

    Hollis Woods has changed since the beginning of the book. One example of this might be that in the beginning of the book, she had no family, but now she does because the Reagans adopted her. Also, she changed her name to Hollis Reagan, since the Regans adopted her. Another might be that she was very depressed for many reasons, but now she is very happy with herself, and her family. Lastly, Hollis ran away from almost everything in the beginning, but now she is happy exactly where she is now.

    Some ways that Hollis has stayed the same in this book would be that she still loves art. She also still loves the color french blue with all her heart. She also loves Izzy's hard candy, and throughout the entire book, she has eaten the candy. Lastly, even though she lives with him now, she still thinks about what Steven would say for whatever she does.

My Lunch

My lunch for today will probably be chicken nuggets, milk, some sides, and a bag of chips. I didn't have a very big breakfast, so I'm probably eat all of it. I don't usually bring my lunch, so I usually have to bring money, but not today. Sometimes I'm not all that hungry, and sometimes I don't even eat lunch at all! I must admit, I sometimes trade some of my food at lunch. Also, I hate this schools cheese sandwiches, so I try to bring money if I'm out. See you next post! 

In My Bag

This my bag (backpack). It's kind of messy, but it's fine. I have my planner, which helps me be organized. I have my big, blue binder, which carries all my assignments. I have my band binder, which I use in band. My bag is a tennis bag, which in the back has a spot for my racket. See you next post! :)

POHW: Making a Difference

We are supposed to post about someone who has inspired us. A person who has inspired me other than my parents would be my soccer coach, Aaron. He is a great Christian man who inspired me to play soccer, and believe in God more. He made us pray before each game. He also told us to keep playing soccer. I still play soccer to this day, all because of him. He is no longer my coach, however. See you next post! :)

Someone I love

Someone I love is my little brother, Andrew. He's a real nice his, and a great brother. I am really mean to him sometimes, and for this I feel guilty. I hope my brother knows I love him. Also I love my dog, Buster. He's  a good, loyal dog. See you next time! :)

Transportation

Today, we are supposed to be talking about transportation, so that's exactly what I'm going to do in this post. I like to ride my skateboard, it gives me a free feeling. I also love going to the skate park, because of all the open space and smooth platform. Every day, my Mom drives me to school in her Traverse, which is blue. I sometimes like riding my bike when its nice outside, but not to school. Of all these I'm sure that skateboarding is definitely my favorite form of transportation. See you next post!  

My Locker

This is locker. It's not too big, but it's nice. However, I use my tennis locker most of the time. I like that we still get to have lockers here at Creek Valley, even though 7th and 8th graders get to carry their backpacks around. You can also express yourself by putting decorative things in your locker. I hope I never have to give up my locker. See you next post! :)

POHW: To the the Mustard Woman

Uh, hey Mustard Lady, how is it going? I'd like to tell you some things that I could not be able Rochell you in person. First of all, you don't know how I feel. I was abandoned when I was an hour old. Did that happen to you? I thought not. Secondly, you need to be nicer to me. You wanna know why I run from all my foster care people? It's this, those people just aren't a real family. I know that I will never have a real family,so don't try to convince me. Please don't be so rude to to me, you don't know what it's like!

Guilty Pleasures

Today's post is supposed to be on guilty pleasures, and I do indeed, sometimes do stuff like that. One thing I do is stay up sort of late watching TV shows every so often. Also, I LOVE sweets. Whenever there is sweets in thew house, none are safe! I also eat too much at lunch, which makes me feel less healthy. These are my guilty pleasures. See you next time!

Today is February 11th. You probably know what hat means. Whenever it is 11:11, today you are supposed to make a wish. I am not going to tell you specifically what I am going to wish for, but I'll give you a hint. Cha-ching! Yea, that probably gives it away. Well, I don't like Mondays, but at least I get to make a wish! See you next post! 

Fridays

Fridays, the best day of the week. You get out of school, and its the first day before the weekend! You get to be care free for 2 and a half days! My family and I have a tradition to go to (ironically enough) TGI Fridays! I can't wait for the day to be over. I love Fridays. I usually get something different every time we got to TGI Fridays. My Dad comes home from work at aroung 5:00 PM so I'll have to wait until then. See you next post!  

My Handwritng

This is my handwriting. As you can see, I don't exactly have the best handwriting on Earth, but I'm getting better. My teachers usually tell me to rewrite something better because of my handwriting, but it is good for me to learn to write better. I like writing, despite how bad my handwriting is. Oh yah, also did that writing with my right hand. Yes, I know it doesn't look like it. Alright, that's all folks!

POHW: Josie's Feeling

My name is Josie. Today I adopted a nice girl named Hollis Woods. She is definitely a natural-born artist, and I can tell. I hope she decides to stay with me. I also hope for her to learn to express her feelings through her art. I think I can help her because she is a wonderful young woman.

Colors

Todays topic is colors. So, I don't usually like art, but I like using colors. It gives life to your drawings. Below is the rainbow, one of the main source of color. Caveman never got to use color, and didn't find out about until later. I love colors. Colors are all around, just look!

Mondays

I HATE Mondays! first you wake up and then you have to go to school for the first time in 2 days. The day usually goes by pretty slow. I am basically like Garfield. oh yah, I also love lasagna. See you next post!  :-)

My Shadow

This is my shadow. It is slightly taller than me. It appears only when the Sun is out. Cavemen used to think that shadows were a spirit. Later, they found out the try the truth. I love shadow.

What I'm Reading Now

What am I reading now? I'm reading a book called Middle School: The Worst Years Of My Life. (It fits) Just Kidding! Anyway, this book is good, and its in the format of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid. I have read some good books, but this one takes the cake. I hear they are coming out with another book in this series. I can't wait and I love this book! :) 

My Family

My family is awesome. We play together a lot. Me and my brother love to wrestle! We have a bird, a dog, a frog, and a fish. Me and my Dad love to play Halo together! In my family is me, my Mom, my Dad, and my brother, Andrew. I love my family!

Morning Picture

Today first I woke up. Next, I took a shower. Then, I ate,breakfast. After that, I brushed my teeth. Then I left for school. I arrive at tennis and go on with my day. Good morning!

My Best Friend

My best friend in school would probably be Braeden Ireland. Me and him are good buds. We play minecraft together, and we communicate by phone. Me and Braeden always hang out. He is a nice guy and is my best friend! Friends are good to have. This is because they help you through hard times, and SO much more.

My Favorite Place

It was hard to choose, but I have finally made a decision for my favorite place. It would be Disneyworld. I went when I was 5 years old. Since I was that young, I don't remember much about the trip but I remember little things that remind me that it was awesome! Disneyland also had all of my favorite disney characters. Some of these being Donald Duck, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and so many more! See you next post!

My Fashion Sense

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I will be telling you a little about how I like to dress. I am a big fan of plaid. I even have a favorite look that involves a plaid shirt and a plaid pair of shorts. Even though most of the time I wear sweat pants and a short sleeve t-shirt because I am usually at tennis in the morning. I am glad our school does not have to make us wear uniforms. It lets us express ourselves.
